So the Nuketown 2025 map for Black Ops II has been advertised for months as a ‘pre-order exclusive’ map, available only to players who pre-ordered Black Ops II. And yet today I walked into the Bx and purchased Black Ops II and still received the Nuketown 2025 map. Could it be that not enough people pre-ordered the game so they just stuck all the pre-order copies on the shelves? I don’t know. Anyway I got the ‘exclusive’ bonus days after the game was released. No money down, no pre-order, nothing. Just walked into the store and I was rewarded with the map. Win?
Yeah, I about that last night, we got people in the clan buying the game in stores & I thought the same, they must have had extras, BUT when you pre-order, they know how many exactly. So based on that, your not going have extras. Could they have lied to us? Yes.. Did they? We don’t know. I think they thought they were gonna have a bigger crowd. When I went to the release & text other friends, everyone got the game so quickly, compared to MW3, I think MW3 out sold on the pre-order.
I think it’s just a first print exclusive.
Actually the map comes with every launch unit and they marketed it in a deceptive way. It was insinuated that it is an exclusive map which is only for those who pre-ordered. Very dodgy advertising which I find wrong to be honest, it really is misleading all in the name of pre-orders.
‘Q. What if I don’t preorder, can I still get the Nuketown 2025 bonus map?
A. The Nuketown 2025 downloadable map comes with each launch unit of Call of Duty: Black Ops II. So the best way to ensure you get the Nuketown 2025 downloadable map is to pre-order your copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops II now.’
