Vanessa and I drove up to Seattle for the weekend and had a wonderful time. I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures from the trip, and will likely write something about the trip in the near future. For now I’m pretty exhausted after spending nine hours in a car. Enjoy!
I stepped outside earlier tonight to run down to the gas station and was met with a thick, creepy fog. There’s something peaceful about the fog as well, in the way that everything around you fades away into the quiet night.
It’s been a busy two weeks but hopefully I’ll get back into the swing of things soon. In the meantime I thought I’d share a few pictures from the ski trip my girlfriend and I took on Sunday to Bogus Basin, just outside of Boise. It was my first ski trip of the season and it was a nice refresher trip.
We went night skiing (4-10) which is quite affordable at Bogus. It’s $22 for a night lift ticket, however the gas station Jackson’s offers a $10 off voucher if you buy three 20 oz Pepsi products. They also offer a 50% military discount on lift tickets and ski rentals, so I skied for $21 (I don’t have my own skis yet) and my girlfriend skied for $12.
We kept it pretty easy for our first trip and skied ‘coaches corner’ to warm up, and then went down ‘Showcase’ (which was pretty rough since there were quite a few grassy patches that resulted in a few falls). We then went down the ‘Sunshine cat track /Sunshine’ trail a few times which was ultimately the most fun trail to ski that night.
Below you’ll see a handful of photos from our trip to Tamarack Resort / McCall, Idaho over Christmas as well:
