Xbox Live Ultimate Game Sale Day 3 offers still valid

So as of 9AM Mountain Time the Day 3 Xbox Live Ultimate Game Sale games are still available at their sale prices, along with Day 4’s titles! If you missed any of the great deals from yesterday you still have a little time to take advantage of the incredible prices!

Day 3:

Witcher 2 – $9.99
Forza Horizon – $14.99
Left 4 Dead 2 – $9.99
The Orange Box – $4.99
Crysis 3 – $19.99

Day 4:

Bioshock Infinite – $39.99
Tomb Raider – $19.99
Gears of War: Judgement – $29.99
Metal Gear Rising: Revengence – $29.99
Hitman Absolution – $9.99
XCOM: Enemy Unknown – $19.99

Some people feel the Day 4 sale prices should been lower, but when you compare to GameStop’s used prices they’re still great deals, especially when you consider the convenience of owning a digital copy. Bioshock Infinite currently sells for $54.99 used, while XCOM sells for $37.99.

Borderlands 2 just $9.99 on Xbox Live!

Expect to see a ton of sales on games later this week as both Steam and Xbox have July 4th sales, and starting things off just a bit early is Borderlands 2.

Starting today Borderlands 2 is available for digital download through Xbox Live for just $9.99. Of course it would go on sale just a few weeks after I bought two copies at around $26 each (used) for my girlfriend and I… I’d much rather have a digital copy on my hard drive instead of having to insert a disc every time I want to play. I’m half tempted to attempt to trade in the used disc copy I have, as it’s still $27.99 used at Gamestop ($29.99 new).

Game deals: GRID and Sleeping Dogs

Yesterday I picked up GRID for $3.74 via GreenManGaming and Amazon’s Sleeping Dogs Bundle for $12.99, both great pick  ups. So far GRID is alright, it certainly looks nice, but coming from a huge Forza fan it just feels silly. The cars control horribly and there’s no feel to the cars at all. The damage effects in GRID are pretty cool, though at one point my windshield shattered and my doors fell off and my spotter told me my car was barely scratched. o.O

Sleeping Dogs is great fun and looks wonderful. There’s a free high res texture pack available through Steam to make the game look even better, but I’m not entirely sure my MacBook would like that 🙂 I’m running it on a sort of medium-high mix and average 20fps which doesn’t bother me.
